UNDERWATER ROBOTICS CLUB OPEN HOUSE for Middle School and High School Students & Parents

Thursday

September 24

6 – 8 PM        UW - Marathon County Fieldhouse Room 112

Discover what underwater “remotely operated vehicles – ROV” are all about. UWMC Continuing Education is collaborating with Snapshot Science in hosting the Wausau Area ROV Club this year. Current teams will present what they are about and then provide demonstrations of their underwater vehicles in the pool.  Guests will be able to pilot an ROV.

Meetings will give students opportunities to develop skills such as engineering, scientific inquiry, design, teamwork, soldering, budgeting, presentation, and marketing. Students also have the option to compete on a Scout or Ranger class team in the WI MATE ROV competition. Please visit www.marinetech.org or more information on the ROV competition.
